74%!!!

So for those of you that don't know i'm studying to become a certified public accountant. I have been studying and taking tests since february of this year and just got the test scores of my first two tests on friday last week. Before I let you in on the scores (although an astute reader might get a clue from the blog title) let me tell you about the CPA exam.

The cpa exam is seperated into 4 sections:REG, AUD, FAR, and BEC. REG is the tax and business law section, AUD is auditing and attestation, FAR is financial accounting and reporting, and BEC is business environment and concepts. The general ranking of difficulty from high to low is FAR, REG, AUD, BEC. I took REG and AUD during the last few months and had to study for about 80 hours before each test. REG took about 3 hours of testing and AUD took about 3.5 hours. To pass a exam section you have to score a 75% or higher, and the pass rates for the tests range in the 35-45% range, so these suckers are tough. Anywho the suspense is over and here's my test results:

REG- 79% (flippin sweet!)
AUD-74% (NOT so flippin sweet)

Can you believe they gave me a 74%!!! that shoudn't be legal, i've been ticked all weekend long thinking about this! I think its a conspiracy to get more money out of me because it costs like 300 bucks each time you take one of these suckers. Anywho, i'm going to restudy for AUD for 3 weeks and retake it and PASS it this time. Then i'll be 1/2 done and should finish my other 2 sections by october, with some luck i'll be a CPA before my 24th b-day. woohoo

So anywho, had to vent my frustrations, so if any of you out there know a CPA exam test grader, punch them in the face for me :) have a nice day!
